Marvel’s upcoming Disney Plus show was announced after the Avenger Endgame. The main shows are Loki, Hawkeye, Wanda Vision, She-Hulk, What If.., The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, Secret Invasion, Armor Wars and I Am Groot. When Marvel Universe films are doing so much business at the box office, why did they need to make TV shows. Marvel Universe is a very smart franchise, it knows what the demand of the time is. MCU understands their audience very well. Let’s talk about why Marvel Studios is making a show for Disney Plus. There many reasons behind this.

Elaboration

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige had said that he could show things through Disney Plus that were not possible to show in the movie’s format. This is natural, because the film can become less crowded due to the film being too long. A show itself is a means by which the story of the characters can be explained well. While there is less time for character development in the movie, or to say that it is very difficult to clear things in such a short time. Marvel Studios used to release videos called Cinematic Universe one-shot earlier as well, but it did not succeed. For example, a similar one-shot was released after Iron Man Three, All hail the King. This clearly shows that Mandalorian really exists in the MCU and we will now see Mandalorian in the Shang-Chi and the Legends of Ten Rings.

Competition

As everyone knows how successful DC’s show is today. DC’s films may not do well, but their shows are amazing. That is why Marvel Studios also wants to try their hand at shows to give competition to DC and other superhero series. Shows like The Boys and Umbrella Academy have become so popular. It’s not that Marvel didn’t make the show. But Inhumans and A.G.E.N.T OF Shield could not do so much. But now the time has changed, now everything is going right after Kevin Feige takes over. This is another benefit for Marvel Studios, if you have to understand the movie then you have to watch the show, if you want to understand the show, you have to watch the movie.

Experiment

Marvel Studios will also have to experiment through their shows. Because if a big budget film flops then it messes up all over the universe. Take Justice League as an example, DC released Justice League without making a standalone movie of its character. The result was that DC had to close its universe, after which it had to start afresh. Which is now going in the right direction. That’s why Marvel is coming out with their shows on Disney Plus.
