Netflix’s crime thriller series, Mindhunter star Holt McCallany joins Zac Efron in A24’s upcoming biographical wrestling drama, The Iron Claw.
After Harris Dickinson in A24’s wrestling drama, The Iron Claw, Mindhunter series actor Holt McCallany has joined the film’s star cast. Upcoming project is being directed by The Nest’s Sean Durkin. The Iron Claw was confirmed in the month of June, with Zack Efron in the lead role.
Zac Efron is portraying Kevin Von Erich on the big screen in the wrestling drama feature based on true events. In this context, Harris Dickinson was attached to play David Von Erich in the film. Holt McCallany will play Fritz Von Erich in the film. On the other hand, Jeremy Allen White will be seen playing Kerry Von Erich. Tessa Ross, Derrin Schlesinger and Harrison Huffman are producing the film for A24. Sean Durkin has also wrote the screenplay. House Productions is developing upcoming drama feature with Access Entertainment and BBC Films.
A24’s wrestling drama, The Iron Claw story will follow Kerry Von Erich, an American professional wrestler. The story will highlight the rise and fall of Kerry Von Erich family, a lineage of wrestlers who have made a major impact on the sport from the 1960s to the present day.
Apart from Netflix’s Mindhunter series, actor Holt McCallany is also known for Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, Alien 3, Wrath of Man and Three Kings. Holt McCallany recently appeared in AMC’s drama series, 61st Street. He also appeared opposite Bradley Cooper in the 2021 psychological thriller, ‘Nightmare Alley’ directed by Guillermo del Toro. He will next seen opposite Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part Two from Paramount Pictures. Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part Two is schedule to release in theatres on June 28, 2024.
