Disney confirmed Jungle Cruise ‘Sequel’ with Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt.
Disney’s Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt starrer ‘Jungle Cruise’ released on July 29, 2021 in theaters and on streaming platform Disney+, that based on the theme park ride at Disneyland and Disney World. Movie has been well received by the critics and the audience. Due to which this action adventure flick has done well at the box office amid the Covid-19 crisis. Jungle Cruise, made with a budget of $100 million, has so far done business of $186 million worldwide. However, the figures for Disney Plus are not yet known. These figures are quite impressive amid the pandemic crisis. Right now North America is suffering from fourth wave of Covid-19, due to which the condition of the theaters is very bad. But still the film is available for viewers on Disney Plus, provided you have to spend $30.
In such a situation, seeing the success of the film, Disney Studios has given a green signal to the sequel of Jungle Cruise. Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt will once again appear in the lead roles. According to Deadline, the film’s original director Jaume Collet-Serra will continue the thrilling journey in the sequel. From original film, Michael Green is also returning to write the script.
Jungle Cruise sequel is Disney’s second biggest project of the year after the confirmation of the Cruella 2.
In addition, Dwayne Johnson will appear in Netflix’s Red Notice alongside Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot. Red Notice will release on November 12. He will then appear in Warner Bros’ and Dc’s Black Adam. Black Adam is scheduled to release on July 29, 2022.
