Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series actress Ema Horvath joins Lionsgate’s ‘The Strangers‘ remake.
Amazon’s The Rings Of Power Series actress Ema Horvath has joined horror-thriller, The Strangers remake, which is currently in production on Lionsgate. In this context, the actress has joined Madelaine Petsch, Gabriel Basso and Froy Gutierrez in the film. The Legend of Hercules‘ Renny Harlin is directing the remake of the upcoming horror-thriller, The Strangers. Filming is currently underway in Slovakia.
Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland, best known for Todd Phillips’s road-comedy, Due Date, wrote the film’s screenplay. Courtney Solomon, Mark Canton, Christopher Milburn, Christopher Milburn, Gary Raskin, Charlie Dombeck and Alastair Birlingham are producing the film. Frame Film SK, Johanna Harlin, Juan Garcia Peredo and Alberto Burgueno are serving as co-producers. While, Andrei Boncea, Dorothy Canton and Roy Lee are serving as executive producers. Lionsgate Studios will distribute the film globally.
Original Universal’s The Strangers, which came out in 2008, was a huge box office hit. Made on a budget of just $9 million, the film did a whopping $82 million at the worldwide box office. Directed by Bryan Bertino, the horror thriller starred Liv Tyler, Scott Speedman, Glenn Howerton, Alex Fisher and Kip Weeks in the lead roles.
Later, 10 years later, sequel The Strangers: Prey At Night was released under Rogue Pictures, starring Bailee Madison, Martin Henderson, Lewis Pullman, and Christina Hendricks, which was also a financial hit. Made on a budget of $5 million, The Strangers: Prey At Night did $32 million at the box office.
